2017-2020 I worked as a Product Designer on a trading app BUX.
Apart from the work shown below, I have worked on Financing Fees structure, Signup, Onboarding, Conversion (Become Serious BUX/Fund Your Account) in-app communications Popups, Social vertical redesign, Channel Filters , Channel Following, Limit Orders, Splash screen. Also on concepts that did not make it to live.

Trading Vertical: Financial Calendar
Goal: Help the users in deciding what to trade.
User insight: “I do not know what to trade, I only like trading the companies that I know, or the companies that are volatile. The companies are the most volatile when they announce their earnings.”
Hypothesis: If we showcased the companies that are announcing the earnings that day, it would help the users make a decision for trading, as that’s when they get the most volatility.
Ideas: 1. Show the earnings on the Home Screen, as part of the daily news. 2. Show the earnings on the position’s screen. 3. Have a separate screen for earnings only. 4. Incorporate earnings into the “Favourites” screen.
User testing: In a research with actual users, we found out that he majority of users would “logically” look for the financial calendar on the trading screen.
Sketching and thinking on paper is much productive for me.
It allows to explore much more possibilities faster. It is also more efficient to discuss, align on ideas with the stakeholders
and rule some ideas out, before diving into details and design.
Home Vertical: Aggregated Trades
Context: Before on the home feed each user could see every single trade done by every single user.
User insight: “As a user I get overwhelmed by the amount of the cards published every second, I don’t know who are those people, why am I seeing them. I also do not want to see who are other people, I would rather see useful information related to trading.”
Hypothesis: If we combine the amount of the trades done in the given amount of time, that would show the sentiment, rather than individual trades, it would be more valuable information for the users. Sentiment would rather show the amount of people trading UP or Down, without focusing on the person.
Iteration 01: Users could see only the number of trades and the long'/short position. However users would not care much about the direction. They did understand what does the time stamp mean. In the first iteration. Later we have added another layer of information.
Iteration 02: We have added a layer of UI, where the user could see more detailed data. Also, the user would see the category of the stock first.
Home Vertical: Feed Concepts*
Context: Home screen is the first screen that every user sees when they launch the app. One third of the screen is used for the daily news and the rest is used to show what others are trading.
User insight: “As a user I do not use the home page, I would like to see more useful information here, such as news from other sources, news about the companies that I am following and only the stuff that is relevant for me.“
Ideas and sketches: Organise the home screen around “favourites” activity. Home Page (News/New Concepts with all/Aggregated Trades/. The user would see only information that is related to the products of their interest.
Social Vertical: Commenting
Context: Bux has a large community of traders who share knowledge and experience with each other on Channels. Channels used to be only one way communication. Channel owners would “post” and there was no way to react to them.
User Insights: “As a user I want to engage with the Channel owner, I want to ask questions and react to what’s written.”
Goal: Increase the social engagement in the Social channel.
Hypothesis: If we give a tool that allows the “followers” to engage in conversations with the Channel owners, then users would feel more involved in the community and would be encouraged to participate in the discussion.
Ideas: 1. Give commenting function to each post. 2. Give a way to show “liking” or “disliking” function. 3. Allow the users to show appreciation without putting much effort.
Result: We have designed and build a commenting functionality under each post, which made the community even more lively.
Stakeholder interviews: User insights
Onboarding Conversion
Context: Bux is a trading and investing platform. Before the users are allowed to trade they have to go through a series of verifications, which makes it into a very long flow.
After the launch of BUX ZERO, we had to change the on-boarding flow for a few reasons.
Goal: Make the onboarding shorter for the existing users. Onboard the user easily on one of the apps if the user already is verified on the other app.
Hypothesis: If we could give the user shorter on-boarding process, it would end up with less frustration and less churn rate.
Idea: Identify if the user has already an account based on the email they are providing and guide them through a different flow.
Screen designs for three different flows.
2011-2016 I have worked at this magical place called
Tumo Center for Creative Technologies.
Here I oversaw all aspects related to design, such as visual brand and communications materials, the events design materials, website design etc.
But the most fun project I worked on was the Digital Christmas Forest and the Game Platform called “Path” through which students can pursue their creative education, do exercises and subscribe to hands-on workshops.

Really satisfying to see the students pursuing their creative education through the interface I have designed with my colleagues.
One of the most innovative schools in the world, Tumo Center for Creative Technologies is an environment in the intersection of art and technology where students are in charge of their own learning.
Educational Game Software Design.
Context: TUMO is a new kind of educational experience at the intersection of technology and design. At TUMO, teens learn because they want to. They’re given the tools and know-how they need to reach their maximum potential and they chart their own learning path through hands-on activities, workshops and projects.
Design goal: Create online game platform through which students can pursue their education, do exercises and subscribe to hands-on workshops.
My responsibility: Design the interfaces and UX, notification screens, subscriptions.
Team: Content writers, web developers, engineers.
Wheel of selection.
Students choose the activities from 4 focus areas and 8 supporting skills and the system creates a different path for every individual student.
Educational Path of one student.
Every student has a different path. This is a path of a student who chose to pursue 2D graphics, game design and drawing as a supporting skill.
